- Online tool to help employers find veterans looking for work goes live for Anzac Day
- Service funded by the State Government's Anzac Day Trust Grants
A Transition Employment Portal that links employers to veterans looking for work is now live.
The Transition Employment Portal is the first of its kind in Australia, providing a direct link between employers and job-seeking veterans. The portal will streamline the process of matching up employers to veterans, making it easier for participating companies to hire a veteran.
The boost for employers is a major milestone for the Veterans Employment Program run by Working Spirit and RSLWA, funded through the State Government's Anzac Day Trust Grants Program.
The Transition Employment Portal went live for veterans in December 2022. More than 100 profiles have been created by veterans since the portal went live.
The Veteran Employment Program has already delivered fantastic outcomes for the veteran community, so far achieving 112 placements.
They are also building into the portal the opportunity for veterans' partners and their children of working age to create a profile to help them seek employment opportunities.
The McGowan Labor Government's decision to increase the funding to the Anzac Day Trust by $1 million a year is having a positive influence on outcomes for the Western Australian veteran community.
